This week’s readings provide insights about the issues in the early Church like the level of corruption among the clergy. There had been absenteeism found in the church even after the presence of several members of the clergy. Therefore, the members of the parishes never used to be nourished properly as they had deserved to be. The promises made by the members of the clergy had not been fulfilled as they had been expected to be fulfilled by the members of the parishes. There had been lack of educational facilities provided to the members of the clergy. In the church of the 21st century also, there are members of the clergy whose motives deviate to earning money sometimes more than serving the church.
